A couple of weeks ago Andail started a "graphics workshop", where users were encouraged to create some artwork of a monster- showing their progress in public and passing feedback as they went along. The results are now up for voting in this thread.
It's nice to see so many talented artists taking the theme for a unique spin!

Create your own World
An article that I find great, has appeared in HardyDev. Derrick Freehand an ags forum member, being on the working of his game Collision, has written an article about how one should create his game world. It mostly scratches the surface, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have valid information. I feel its really worth checking out. Here's the topic of Collision and here's a link for the article. Also on a side-note the first MAGS under the hosting of Atelier is over. See the results, here.

Background Workshop
The latest Background Blitz has a "Workshop" special. Loominous is asking all entrants to post their reference material, their preliminary sketches, and there should be plenty of discussion. The theme is an orphanage, but its a bit more complex than that and the whole thing should be pretty educational for budding artists, so head on over and read all about it.
