A small farewell (more like see you soon/later)

This is not goodbye, I'm not leaving, this is merely explaining. I am known to be a drama queen, so i won't go there this time. I'm leaving for the army shortly, but my absence from this blog has been noted sooner than that.

As time progressed and Primordia was going to be released I didn't want to use the blog for personal promotion, as it was something we agreed on with SSH. Adding to that is my slow abandonment of game design in general has left me absolutely uninterested to videogames as a whole.

The rumor that before you have to write a song, you must first listen to lots of music, possibly applies to making your very own videogame. While I strongly believe my individual skills have increased with the making of each game, I still don't "get" it.

Each of my games is an overambitious attempt at something, only which I perceive and a small percentage of the players that bother playing/trying out. As myself in several occasions, my games make little sense. I have created an image for them, that I will never be able to match, or even know how to approach.

Anyhow, I'm still around and I'll be around in two weeks or so for a brief period of time. I love you all, have a wonderful day.

  1. Don't worry about not "getting it." If every AGSer got it, we'd all by making games professionally. There's nothing wrong with being an enthusiastic hobbyist, you know. ;-)

Have fun and don't be gone for too long. =)

  2. perfect people are often obnoxious and boring - as long as you are imperfect you have the opportunity to grow - and some lovable little imperfections make a person unique and human -
don't give up on your dreams - stay being an adventurer
    all the best to you
